Winter Vista Illumination 2008

Winter Vista Illumination 2008 is one of Tokyo's largest illumination events, drawing over 150,000 visitors annually, and features 2 Christmas trees made with 7,000 champagne glasses.

Over 250,000 bulbs are used in a wide variety of colorful and bright illuminations throughout Showa Kinen Park in Tachikawa City. The ginkgo avenue lights are one of the popular attractions.

Special fireworks displays are presented during the opening ceremony, on Saturdays, and Christmas Eve.

Evening balloon flights (advanced reservation required) allows a panoramic view of the Christmas lights from 30-meters up.Winter

Winter Vista Illumination runs from December 5th to December 25th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Admission: ¥400 (adults), ¥80 (elementary and jr. high school students), children under school age: free
