20-meter Xmas tree in Hakodate Harbor

Written by Nippon Sekai
Sunday, 30 November 2008

A huge 20-meter tall Christmas tree was towed into the port of Hakodate for one of the winter sightseeing events in Hokkaido.

The large tree is the symbol of the "Hakodate Christmas Fantasy" which is hosted at the Kanamori red brickhouse from December 1 until the 25th.  The event consists of the tree lighting ceremony, concerts, nightly fireworks displays, and other events.

The event takes place at the Waterfront Warehouses which is a 10 minute walk from JR Hakodate Station or a 5 minutes via tram from Hakodate Station to Jujigai.
