Short video about the yukata and how it became a fashion boom in Japan.
The yukata (浴衣) is a casual form of kimono that is usually worn during the summer months in Japan. It is common to see people wearing yukata during bon-odori festivals, fireworks displays (hanabi), and other events. It is also frequently worn after bathing at traditional Japanese inns (ryokans). Though their use is not limited to after-bath wear, yukata literally means bath(ing) clothes.
