Forward #17 - On Edge At Home

Written by Nippon Sekai

For 35 years, Shima Company has refined its technology for recycling motor vehicles.  But the nuclear crisis in Fukushima has put the company in dire straits.

Their facilities are located just 500 meters from the 20 km exclusion zone around the damaged Dai-ichi nuclear power plant.  After only a month's evacuation though, employees returned to get back to business.  A high school student also decided to stay in the city and work for the company. This episode documents the efforts of people struggling to restore their hometown.

The total runtime is around 24 minutes and is hosted on Dailymotion (as mentioned before, ads are auto inserted).
