After the nuclear accident at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant, some 1,800 residents who evacuated from the area, moved to Sapporo due to strong historical ties between the two areas.
The city which is located on the northern most island of Hokkaido, is known for its Sapporo Snow Festival where its main attraction are the detailed sculptures crafted completely out of snow and ice. One sculpture was Fukushima's Tsuruga Castle, which was created as a show of support and hope of recovery for the citizens of Fukushima.
The total runtime is around 24 minutes and is hosted on Dailymotion (as mentioned before, ads are auto inserted).
